Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan sent warm wishes to the nation as India celebrated its 79th Independence Day on Friday. On his social media handles, Shah Rukh posted a picture taken from the balcony of his home, Mannat. The picture showed him waving to a large crowd of fans while standing with his youngest son, AbRam. A national flag was also positioned at the front, highlighting his love for the country. In his post, he described independence as the country’s “greatest gift”, adding that it is the key to progress. He urged everyone to stay proud and open-hearted, wishing all a Happy Independence Day with a “Jai Hind”.

Before Shah Rukh’s post, many other stars, including Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Kangana Ranaut, Vikrant Massey, Arjun Rampal, Sara Ali Khan, Kartik Aaryan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Priyanka Chopra, shared their Independence Day wishes on various social media platforms.

Recent honour for Shah Rukh

Recently, Shah Rukh received the prestigious National Film Award for his role in Atlee’s film Jawan. After the news broke, fans, industry friends, and co-stars flooded him with congratulations. In his thanks, the actor said, “Thank you for honouring me with the National Award. Thanks to the jury, the I&B ministry… Iss samman ke liye Bharat Sarkar ka dhanyawaad. Overwhelmed with the love showered upon me. Half a hug to everyone today.”

Looking ahead to his next project

The actor’s next film, titled King, is being directed by Siddharth Anand. Filming has already started, though details about the story and cast are still a secret. Reports suggest Shah Rukh is recovering from muscle injuries he got while shooting the project.
